Deep-Sea fishing to most people means going out and fishing out of sight of land. While it encompasses fishing in the saltwater, from the beach to the deep emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. it can be a lot things to a lot of people.  Some guys like to go trolling where we simply pull 4 lines behind the boat and wait for the bite as we look for sea bird, porpoises and other marine life.

Bottom-fishing is another term for reef-fishing down here.  It is where you hold a pole and drop your baited hooks down to the bottom of the sea and catch fish.  The second techinque is called trolling and is where we pull several line behind the boat on the surface behind the boat at idle to promote a surface stike for fish like mackerel and Bonito.  With so many different ways to go saltwater fishing in Gulf Shores, you need to know about all of them.  This will help you make better decisions when choosing a fishing charter that you will enjoy.
